Suseong Artpia (Korea National Opera)

Daegu takes its music seriously: UNESCO named it a City of Music in 2017, and it has run an international opera festival every autumn since 2003, the only one of its kind in Korea. Suseong Artpia, the arts centre of the lakeside Suseong district, is one of the halls where this opera city does its everyday work.

In autumn 2026 the Korea National Opera stops here with its touring Magic Flute, one night in a series that carries the piece to halls across the country. It is Mozart as a travelling guest, which is, after all, how the piece started out in 1791.
