The first complete recording of the opera, cut to shellac in Berlin under Sir Thomas Beecham, with Gerhard Hüsch as Papageno, Helge Rosvaenge as Tamino, Tiana Lemnitz as Pamina and Erna Berger as the Queen of the Night. These transfers come straight from the original 78 rpm sides, surface noise and all.
